A Vyūha Learning Labs programme
Śubharātri, meaning good night
The half hour your child will long for, and the calmest bedtime your home has had in years.
Three nights a week, children aged 6 to 12 gather for a story from our epics, a little calm making, and a warm circle of talk, then drift off settled, rooted, and already counting down to the next one.
One sets an alarm so he will not miss it, one says her bad dreams have eased, another that she has stopped fighting with her sister.

Screens wind children up at the very moment they should be winding down. Shubhrātri does the opposite. We turn the last half hour of the day into something your child looks forward to, a story that pulls them in, a small calming activity, a moment to be truly heard, and one idea worth carrying into sleep. No worksheets. No pressure. Just a ritual they fall in love with, and a child who actually sleeps.
Antarmukha is Vyūha's own Indian Knowledge Systems series, five beautifully crafted books that carry the living wisdom of our traditions into a child's everyday life through story, art, traditional play, and yoga. Its name means turning inward, and that is exactly what Shubhrātri does, night after night, bringing the spirit of the books alive in a warm live circle. The books give your child a path to walk. Shubhrātri walks it with them.

• A fair question, and here is the honest answer. A book is a map. Shubhrātri is the journey.
• You could read a page aloud. Or your child could lean in wide eyed as a story is told with voice, pause and wonder, and end each night aching to know what happens next.
• You could find the time, the energy and the voice for it, night after night, after a long day of your own. Or we could hold that space for you, three evenings a week, like clockwork.
• You could hope a lesson sticks. Or you could watch a value take root because it arrived inside a story your child adored, and was talked over with other children who wondered right alongside them.
• The book is the treasure. Shubhrātri is how we open it, together, so it becomes something your child lives, and not just something they own.
Every evening is woven from the same four threads that run through Antarmukha itself: story, art, play, and stillness. That is what keeps the programme and the books speaking as one.
The great stories of our civilisation, from Antarmukha and beyond, the Pañcatantra, the Upanishads, the Rāmāyaṇa and the Mahābhārata. Told as cliffhangers, then gently opened up: what would you have done? This is where our heritage conversations live too, why we light a lamp, what a festival means, the wisdom inside a shloka.
Art not as performance but as a quiet mirror. In our Aangan, named for the courtyard at the heart of the Indian home, children create with simple things already in the house, a kolam from rice, a diya from clay, a craft from paper or cloth. Busy hands, quiet minds, easy sleep.
The traditional games of India were never merely recreational, they teach fairness, patience, and living well together. Add playful quizzes and riddles, some sealed in an envelope one night and opened the next, and play becomes practice for life.
Each evening settles toward calm, a little āsana, a few slow breaths, a quiet mind practice, so your child drifts toward sleep steady and self aware. This is the wind down that makes Shubhrātri a bedtime, and not just a class.

All of it for 499. For less than a family dinner out, twelve evenings your child will treasure.

Shubhrātri is part of my daily routine now. I set an alarm so I never miss it. It makes me happy and relaxed and I sleep better. I even fight less with my sister and feel more patient with her.
Avanti
child
After the meditation and stories I feel peaceful and fall asleep easily. Everyone gets a chance to speak, and the quizzes and games are so much fun.
Neev
child
I used to have a lot of bad dreams, but these classes have helped reduce them. When I feel anxious, attending helps me feel better. The stories are unlike anything I have heard before.
Varshini
child
I thought it might be too childish for me. I was wrong. I have loved every bit of it, the stories, the quizzes, the breathing and the meditation.

Shubhrātri sows the seeds of spirituality without being preachy, and the children happily soak it up.

Srida sleeps right after Shubhrātri. It has been a big relief, we no longer have to coax her to sleep.

Stories born in Bhārata, carrying the values and spirit of this ancient civilisation, passed down through our Itihāsa and Purāṇa.
It turns our bedtime stories into a gentle routine, so your child sleeps better, wakes brighter, and grows more deeply rooted in our culture. And every child is truly heard, not just seated, they speak, reflect, play and create.
Your child is welcome whenever they can come. We always begin with a short recap so no one feels left behind.
The Antarmukha books are not part of the 999 fee, but we warmly recommend them, since our sessions bring their stories and practices to life and children love following along at home. You can order the series at agamistores.com/collections/textbooks. For the activities, you only need simple things already at home, such as paper, crayons, rice or clay.
English, though we happily encourage children to speak their mother tongue with others who share it.
